Burberry Spring/Summer 2012 Ad Campaign

Following on from the popular Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2012 ad campaign, the British fashion house have once again enlisted talented, up-and-coming stars Eddie Redmayne and Cara Delievingne to feature in the Burberry London spring/summer 2012 ad campaign.
Shot by Mario Testino, the advertising features the typical lookbook imagery we’ve come to expect from the brand – as well as behind the scenes shots and a promotional video [shown below].
From the imagery it is clear that tailoring plays a big part in the collection – with the SS12 range consisting of the luxurious and contemporary styles that head designer Christopher Bailey is renowned for. Although many items feature subtle, muted colour ways, Burberry have also included on trend pieces for the spring/summer season, in the form of printed and patterned apparel.
The garments are constructed in exclusive fabrics that have been developed in London, produced in English mills and hand cut and tailored in Italy. You can be rest assured that the utmost attention to detail and quality control has gone into the making of this collection – with over 100 tailors involved in the construction of each piece.
Overall, the new SS12 Burberry collection offers a modern selection of sartorial tailoring, with a uniquely British attitude. The close fitting silhouettes and fabrics chosen are inspired by the English town and countryside.
