Having previously collaborated on projects with the likes of Topman, Eastpak and ASOS, menswear designer Christopher Shannon has now joined forces with British premium satchel and leather goods manufacturer the Cambridge Satchel Company, to produce a unique spring/summer 2012 capsule collection.
As previously mentioned, the designer is no stranger to luggage design – having previously collaborated with Eastpak on a series of backpacks – so Shannon was able to draw on his previous experience in this sector.
Bringing his distinct signature look to the project, these ‘backpack like’ satchels will ensure you stand out from the crowd due to their unique texture combinations and vibrant colour ways.
Drawing inspiration from 80s pop singer John “Jellybean” Benitez, each piece is decked out with a variety of contrasting materials, from fringed fabric and buckles to matte and patent leather detailing.
