Levi’s x Nike 511 Skateboarding Collection

Hot on the heels of its successful range of cycle wear, Levi’s has collaborated with Nike to produce a collection of denim designed specifically for skateboarding. The range integrates Levi’s unparalleled expertise in denim with Nike’s high performance fabric technology, to produce a jean that provides the best of both function and fashion.
The 511 skateboarding jean, in Levi’s classic slim fit, will be available in a variety of colours and washes. They are designed to be as comfortable and as durable as possible – crafted from a denim fabric designed by both brands that is lightweight, waterproof, soft and resilient. This allows for stretching, giving the wearer an improved range of movement whilst remaining comfortable.
Nike’s dri-fit technology was also used in the construction – filtering moisture away from the body to keep you cool and comfortable, even when active. This blend of style and technology adds up to a jean that is not only perfect for the dedicated skateboarder but a great piece for anybody who needs to balance their fashion with a chaotic or active lifestyle.
The jeans will be accompanied with a small assortment of collaborative products, including a skateboard-specific take on Levi’s timeless trucker jacket and the Nike X Levi’s Omar Salazar LR – a signature edition of the Nike team rider’s signature shoe, created with input by both brands. With its subtle mid-top design it quickly banishes any initial thoughts of gaudy chunky trainers and provides a great option for a sporty, urban style.
A special ‘Made in the USA 511 Skateboarding Team Edition’ of the jean as well as the Omar Salazar LR skate shoes will be available in a select few skate shops on July 4th while the skateboarding 511 jean, skateboarding trucker jacket and another skate shoe, the Nike X Levi’s Dunk Low Pro, will go on sale on August 1st at a wider range of skate shops, Levi’s stores as well as online.
