New York based Zimbabwean fashion designer Farai Simoyi unveiled her latest collection “The Silk Road” at the Africa Fashion Week | New York 2012 in July.
With turqs, teals, fuchsias, golds, & silk brocade this collection was inspired by the Chinese porcelain remains excavated at the infamous Great Zimbabwe. Using the mix of Chinese & Zimbabwean cultures Farai created a scene that brought history & fashion down the runway.
