NYFW // DAVID TLALE ‘DECADENCE’ READY TO WEAR FALL/WINTER 2013 COLLECTIONS

When I discovered David Tlale will be showcasing his Fall/Winter 2013 Collections at NYFW I jumped for joy because it is about time his presence at international shows like this is known. I knew David will deliver, I believe in his design aesthetic  and  creative talent. I can humbly say that he is one of the few South African designers I look forward to his collections every season and each time he he blows me away. I am genuinely pleased that David is taking this direction with his brand, for his Fall 13 collection David calls it “Decadence” , the collection is not for the faint hearted, each piece is dramatic exuding luxurious rich brocade and embellishment  giving us a variety of body hugging cuts and exaggerated shapes, with this collection I can see there is something for everyone.  David Tlale prides himself on celebrating his African heritage through fashion and this was quite evident in his work, as an African I am proud to see a collection without the use prints but plays well with colours that reflects Africa.
