DAKAR FASHION WEEK 2013 HIGHLIGHTS.

Dakar Fashion Week's mission is to match "the wisdom of traditional Africa and the innovation and dynamism of modern Africa" mixed in with the beauty of African music in order to bring the beauty of Africa to the masses across the world.
Modern Africa was celebrated in beautiful fashions created by talented young designers with a goal to bring their unique contemporary understanding of traditional African fashion along with the more important effort to raise awareness and "support to associations helping street children in Senegal".
Africa is truly celebrated in its own unique high style making a huge impact on the fashion world. Texture, color and pattern are prominent with wonderful tribal prints, bright colors and fringe. The fashions are welcoming and happy inviting people of all nations to join in by adorning their bodies with a bit of the beauty of Africa.
