In an interview which was shot at The Tribe Hotel earlier last week, Supermodel Ajuma Nyasenyana who has graced many prestigious fashion shows like Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and Victoria Secret just to name a few talked to Inspired Citizen on issues that faced her when she was growing up because of her dark skin. In an honest yet hard hitting conversation she explained the fact that dark skinned girls would go to the extent of using bleaching agents which would make them look light skinned and how men wouldn't want to date her because of her skin colour. She has been in a campaign of making dark skinned girls both in the fashion industry and those who aren't in the fashion industry embrace there skin colour and making them be proud of it. We know our black models have been finding it hard to book great shows in fashion weeks abroad which is really unbelievable and this calls for great support since we all know BLACK IS BEAUTY.!!
