Maisha, meaning ‘Life’ in Swahili, is an exclusive clothing/lifestyle brand based in Hong Kong which uses African and Indian fabrics as a trademark to all its designs.
The designer, Rakhee Shah, launched the Maisha Concept in 2012. Her inspiration is her heritage; third generation Kenyan by birth and of Indian origin. Whilst growing up, Rakhee has been surrounded by the rich cultures, serene environment and warm people of Kenya. Maisha aims to portray a part of the world where she comes from, which is untouched by many, but bursting with colour, tradition and warmth.
The brand is known best for its rich fabrics which have been physically sourced from various corners of Africa and India. Each piece of the collection is one-of-a kind, with a small story to tell which brings back memories for some or opens a whole new world for others.
Maisha brings colour, vibrance and a unique flare back into your wardrobe.
