OUTFITS: EMERALD GREEN SHIRT LAYERING.

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

How cool is the emerald green colour?... I loveee it!!! I am currently obsessed with it. I normally don't layer so much but I like the shirt layering trend.
If you want to take a more casual approach, one simple and easy combination to pull off is a shirt over a cotton tee or racer back vest. Neutral linen, traditional chambray or cotton check shirts make perfect top layers, and can be left fully open for an effortlessly cool look. For the more fashion forward, why not try doing up one or two of your top buttons and leaving the bottom half of your shirt open?
Alternatively, kill two birds with one stone and opt for an over-shirt that works as a shirt or makeshift jacket. Designed to be slightly thicker than your average shirt, they’re perfect for festivals, BBQs and other summer events that require you to be outside well into the evening.
I got this emerald green banana republic shirt on my thrift journeys and I was at first skeptical that it wouldn't look great since its made out of velvet material but after trying it out with different looks I found it quite nice. I decided to wear a cotton white tee underneath so as not to overshadow the shirt, black slim jeans, converse all star shoes and wayfarers by ray-ban . Try the look and tell me how it looks on you.
