SUMMER IN PORTO - PORTUGAL

Dearest gentle readers (I had to insert a bit of Bridgeton here haha), If you were to ask anyone that knows me well they'll tell you that I live and thrive in summer. The warm air, the music, the smell of perfume in the air and the array of outdoor activities makes me happy.

One of the places on my list to visit was Portugal and I was able to accomplish that this summer specifically Porto which is a lovely city. The beaches, the blue water, the food, the warm weather and not forgetting the Porto wines is chef's kiss. Its is a destination I would recommend that anyone visits.

The location we stayed at was Axis Verma Beach Hotel in Povoa de Varzim which is in the Northern part of Portugal and not far from Porto by train. I love the beach and this was a perfect place for a quick beach day or an escape to the city which we did.There are lots to do like the boat ride on Douro River which was amazing to experience and intimate as we were only few on the boat. The guide was amazing as she explained the history to detail and we tried different types of Porto wines thus allowing us to see Porto in another lens along the river. If your in Porto you have to try this and also go around the city because it is as charming as the pictures themselves.
