Wolsey Clothing: Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook

Wolsey SS12 Collection Lookbook
The latest lookbook to land on my website this week comes from Leicester based brand Wolsey. With over 250 years experience in the industry, it makes the brand one of the oldest existing textile companies in the world – so you can rest assured that you are in good hands. Wolsey have clothed some of Britain’s bravest and most inspirational men, including arctic explorer Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Britain’s military in World War I and II, Olympians and the British Royal household. How is that for heritage?
The brand focuses on men’s clothing and accessories, which is predominately utility inspired with a contemporary edge. They are renowned for their attention to detail; utilising mother of pearl buttons, military textures and antique brass finishes to create a unique range with true character.
The brand’s new spring/summer 2012 range offers a wide range of apparel, which includes soft tailoring, knitwear, shirts, trousers and polos in a colour palette comprising predominantly of brown, green and beige earth tones.
One of the standout pieces from the collection for us here at FashionBeans is the Quinn Jacket. Its double breasted fastening is right on trend, whilst the gold brass buttons utilised for the front fastening and cuffs not only give this formal blazer a distinct edge, but also reinforces the authentic vintage aesthetic the brand pride themselves on.
To view the lookbook in its entirety, and shop the collection, head over to the Wolsey website.
