"The collection is based on what started as a celebration of the elegance and womanly attributes of the 1950s woman. I wanted to encapsulate the femininity of the era in the shapes and fabrics I had chosen. But within the evolving and changing nature of design and aesthetics – the designs became somewhat different from the theory.
Which started a thought pattern and a realisation that the female form can still exude femininity and class, whilst still projecting strength and individuality.
So the collection then became an anthem for what I considered the antithesis of the feminine chic woman!" said Elan. So of cause the collection could not be Bestow Elan without our staple structured collars and subtly sexy toga dresses.
