TIED IN CHECKERED

Monday, October 31, 2016

Hey y'all.... I know I haven't been around here of late but should I say it feels great to be back with yet another style post. Posting regularly here is my ultimate goal each year but yet again life throws you bitter lemons and hurdles which you first have to take a minute to conquer then move forward with the things you are most passionate about. Can we take a moment to recognized how fast this year has flown by? I feel like am in a highway and things are moving soo quickly. That's why I always say its good to take a moment to breath and restock on what you have achieved so far in life and give yourself a pat on your back (like seriously give yourself a pat on the back!!).
Getting to today's post, sometimes I like to give my denim trousers a rest and when that happens tailored trousers and fitting blazers take a toll on my life. If you have followed the blog for sometime you will know I like to give a twist to my outfit selection. I don't like boring and at the same time I don't like over done. I like to find a perfect balance each time. I paired the checkered blazer which has some velvet detail going on with black tailored trousers, a thin striped shirt, dark brown oxford shoes, leather dial watch, black sunglasses and I added a woven brown belt on top of the blazer to personalize the look. Personalizing looks will forever be a great way to give life to any look. Its a fantastic way of owning it and giving it your own stamp :-).
