To say the truth black wasn't really my favorite colour to go to a few years back. I used to loathe the colour due its non-vibrant nature but that changed when I started taking my solid colours seriously. It may be odd to some people that I would go for this kind of dull suit but to me it won't ever go out of style. Have you ever been invited to an event and you have absolutely nothing to wear? Well the black suit is your wing man always.
Its versatility is too broad to even get bored of it. You can wear it in so.. many different ways and it will still look amazing each time. For this look I opted for a fitting two-buttoned black suit which I matched with a white crisp shirt, red striped tie, dark brown oxford shoes and brown socks to finish up the look.
Who said black needs to be boring anymore?... I know I didn't :-)

Am I the only one who is wondering if the Earth moved inches closer to the sun? The sun has been on level ten this few weeks and keeping a clean non-sweaty day has been soo difficult. I am constantly fanning myself or putting my head close to the air-con to cool myself. As you can see from some of my pictures here, getting outside shots has been craycray (I apologize for the shadow situation in some of the pics). Well I guess we are all forced to wear more summer looks now!!
Back to this weeks post, I collaborated with the lovely Vonette to give you insights of how to bring those sharp looks into life during hot sunny days. For this look I wore a striped printed waist coat which I matched with slim grey fitting denim trousers, white silk shirt, jungle green tear drop printed tie, pocket square, navy blue polka dot socks and dark blown formal shoes. I wanted to bring out a sharp look which you can be able to wear even when the weather is sunny as hell.

Happy new month ya'all. Wasn't it just yesterday that we were texting each other "Happy New Year"? Well days are really moving fast. Its been a while since I did a post on suits and for those who were wondering what I wore for Fashion High Tea 2016 (you can read my attendance for this year here ) well now you get to know all about it.
I do love prints and colours and texture but for this years #FHT16, I decided to go for something very sharp, sleek and modern. While I was choosing my fabrics at the tailor I decided to go for stripes as my prints. I didn't want anything that was shouting. I wanted the prints and the cut of the suit to speak for itself and that's what I got. I decided to opt for a two buttoned suit which brought out the mature modernity of the whole look. Although I love one button blazers, two buttoned blazers will still be in trend in many years to come.
I wore the printed suit with a white silk shirt, dark brown shoes, polka dots tie and brown sunglasses. I did feel like James Bond with this outfit. I do think this is one of my favorite looks so far this year :)

Happy new month my fellow readers. February is finally here and I can say its a huge relief on the pocket side of life right?. The last past week I attended a fashion installation on Circle Art Gallery for the launch of an online store called Ichyulu and I must say I was amazed by the presentation. Lets just say it took my mind to fashion weeks abroad. I will write all about it on my next post.
The weirdness of Nairobi's weather keeps bothering me each day. One day I was going to the office and the weather was blaring HOTT!! then at around 4pm in a blink of an eye the weather suddenly changed and the rain that poured was too much. Mind you I had no sweater since I thought to myself that it would be a beautiful day. Since then I have invested in sweaters that match my style and taste and can easily be styled with both casual and formal looks.
I got this persian green cardigan from George which is an online store which I matched with a black long sleeved shirt, black fitting denim trousers from Brooklyn Denim Co and ash grey shoes from Jumia. I hope this weather will start being sunny a little bit more so that I can get my sandals and shorts game on.

Casual dressing is one of my day to day dressing that I love. It gives me the opportunity to dress out of my comfort zone and try new colours and styles. I normally go for dark or neutral shades of colours for my trousers but sometimes I will wear more colours or prints. I know most of you experiment more with casual dressing. What works for you? As for my shirts I wear any trends that work for me. I am more comfortable with that.
I recently got this Oxford short sleeved shirt from Banana Republic which I matched with dark beige slim fit chino pants, blue loafer shoes and a neck-piece chain from local artisans.
