Am I the only one who is wondering if the Earth moved inches closer to the sun? The sun has been on level ten this few weeks and keeping a clean non-sweaty day has been soo difficult. I am constantly fanning myself or putting my head close to the air-con to cool myself. As you can see from some of my pictures here, getting outside shots has been craycray (I apologize for the shadow situation in some of the pics). Well I guess we are all forced to wear more summer looks now!!
Back to this weeks post, I collaborated with the lovely Vonette to give you insights of how to bring those sharp looks into life during hot sunny days. For this look I wore a striped printed waist coat which I matched with slim grey fitting denim trousers, white silk shirt, jungle green tear drop printed tie, pocket square, navy blue polka dot socks and dark blown formal shoes. I wanted to bring out a sharp look which you can be able to wear even when the weather is sunny as hell.

Its unbelievable that this year is about to end. Wasn't it just yesterday that people were noting down their new year's resolutions. I hope that each one of you have accomplished half of the milestones you had put down. Well I guess I am happy by how much I have been able to do this year. Everything has been incredible and amazing. Although we still have one month to go, so far so good :).
Each day I get to wake up and choose what will make me look the part on that particular day. Whether I am going to work, a meeting, garden parties, or meeting up with friends. How I look symbolizes a lot to me. That's why I have to make sure I plan early on my schedule to know what is expected of me each week (as they say planning early is planning to succeed). I decided to wear a pinstriped waistcoat which I matched with a blue long sleeved denim shirt, polka dot slim tie, camel coloured fitting trousers and black buckle shoes.
I guess am looking the part now :)

Its not normal to find me posing by the road side in broad day light and if you spot me then luck is on your side my friend. If I have to shoot beside the busy sidewalks their must be something special about that place that is making me withstand the constant car stares and the normal side looks from passing individuals. I am a little shy I won't deny that but I will do anything to get amazing shots for sure (I know I am not the only one who will agree to that).
With the beautiful wall of leaves and amazing trees surrounding the place, I thought that was a brilliant place to shoot this look since it contains a lot of individualism in it. I love silk shirts. The feeling on the body is amazing and one just looks extremely dapper when your wearing one. I don't own many silk shirts so when I spotted this printed silk shirt from Trends Limited(0724122743) I just fell in love once again. I loved how it fitted me and how chic it looked.
I matched the printed silk shirt with a navy blue fitting trouser, casual boat shoes from Jumia Kenya , round framed sunglasses from Kenya Vintage store and navy blue belt from Marks and Spencer .
If your up to trying new styles in your life then I would recommend silk shirts as one of them. One can easily transition this look for a night out or even holiday parties.

Let me paint a picture for you: you decide that maybe luck is on your side today. So you go ahead and purchase a lottery ticket, which you scratch and to your surprise you win 50,000ksh.... how would you spend it?. Although I know a lot of people would go and start a business with that money which isn't a bad thing at all. But even if you want to start a business with that money, having a proper image should be part of that process. Investing in great blazers, shoes and closet pieces should be every gentleman's dream. I have been able to achieve this by getting versatile pieces which I can in-cooperate easily into my day to day life. This isn't to say that you too can't achieve this. You can very easily, we all start from somewhere.
Between my crazy life full of ties, shirts, slim fit trousers and denim pants, blazers also play a major role. I wore a black and white double breasted striped blazer which I matched with a black trouser, a white long sleeved shirt, a black tie and buckle derby shoes. No matter who you are, dressing for success is an integral part of attaining it. This isn't to mean that you should wear suits each day..lol.. unless your working in a very formal job. If your like me, then you can play with a lot of pieces and still attain a sharp look.

Have you ever thought how much time we put into something all year round? Sometimes all I think about is how am going to push the bar from 60% to 101% and make it all count. Maybe am all about perfection and evolution but of course we are not all perfect but I believe if we push for perfection we can achieve greatness. But this post is all about taking a tiny break and reflecting. We all get sooo busy that we forget that life is about enjoying the whole process and making each moment count.
Taking a relaxing break needs a chilled out outfit that will make you look sharp but at the same time giving you comfort. I wore a fern green coloured graphic shirt from The Shirt Company where I rolled up the sleeves for an edgy look, beige slim fit chino trousers from Jumia Kenya , navy blue boat shoes from Jumia Kenya and a woven dark brown belt from Marks and Spencer .
You can still be on chill mood but look stylish.

It always comes to a point in my outfits dressing where I am casual to the core. Although If your a reader of The Lifestyle Spread you will realize I juggle between casual and sharp looks as that is how my style life revolves around. But I will say its hard to not be casual when the weather changes each and every time. One day is sunny and warm then the next day is rainy and muddy :(.
To keep my casual outfit temperature friendly, I paired my white denim trousers with a soft navy blue top button shirt with white stripes, trainer shoes from Jumia Kenya , stretch brown leather belt from Marks and Spencer  , black metallic sunglasses and brown panama hat from panama hat company .
Hats, denims and trainer shoes have been an essential part of my wardrobe from working at the office, running errands or even attending bloggers events here at the city. This also stretches to my sharp looks too which easily blend with this staples.

 As a little boy we had one painted picture on the wall that had palm trees all over it, along elongated beach and beautiful oceanic blue waters on it. I remember I used to look at that painting and in a few seconds I would day dream building sand castles on the beach and swimming in the beautiful blue waters. I would ask my mum where that magical place is and all she could tell me is that it is in the Caribbean far far away from here. As I grew older I got to love how the Caribbean people would wear tropical inspired shirts and shorts either in their towns or along the beach.
From then on I loved the style and with that I got to wear the Caribbean beach side style. For this look, I paired navy blue slim fit trousers with a leaves printed short sleeved shirt from Caribbean Joe , black velvet loafer shoes, black sunglasses and brown leather belt from Marks and Spencer .
Who said one can't have the Caribbean feel while your in the city?... Break the rules a little to live a little more :)
