Have you ever thought how much time we put into something all year round? Sometimes all I think about is how am going to push the bar from 60% to 101% and make it all count. Maybe am all about perfection and evolution but of course we are not all perfect but I believe if we push for perfection we can achieve greatness. But this post is all about taking a tiny break and reflecting. We all get sooo busy that we forget that life is about enjoying the whole process and making each moment count.
Taking a relaxing break needs a chilled out outfit that will make you look sharp but at the same time giving you comfort. I wore a fern green coloured graphic shirt from The Shirt Company where I rolled up the sleeves for an edgy look, beige slim fit chino trousers from Jumia Kenya , navy blue boat shoes from Jumia Kenya and a woven dark brown belt from Marks and Spencer .
You can still be on chill mood but look stylish.

I'm a sucker for shades of green this past few months. I discovered my love for green a few months back when the sales person told me why don't I try the green shirt on, and to my surprise I ended up loving it from there onwards. I have learnt to mix that obsession with other colours so as to get the best out of each.
With the change of weather that we are experiencing in the city right now I decided to wear an asparagus green coloured trench coat which I matched with an oxford stripe short sleeve shirt from Ben Sherman , blue slim fit denim trousers, white handcuff from Ndau collection and black Converse shoes.

Finally the Swahili Fashion Week- Nairobi showcase went down yesterday at the Michael Joseph Centre and let me say it was graced by people in a very extravagant way. Since this was the first time that it was happening in Nairobi, Kenya people were anxious to see what was going to be brought on the Runway by the designers. I can say each person was geared up in style looking all glamorous and set to see fabulous creations on the catwalk. The place was fully packed as the tickets were all sold out. The designers did an excellent job and the coordination of the whole event was excellent plus the models not to forget.  The designers collections were interesting as each person had there own creativity and individuality but I can say prints and embroidery were mostly seen but who can forget Patricia Mbela who didn't disappoint at all as her designs had great colour schemes, modernized prints, stitching,creativity and the accessories made and used were just on top of the world. I can say she took her stand as one of the best designers we have got in Africa and also Globally. I can't wait to see what the main Swahili Fashion Week fashion show has to offer in December. Credits go to Mustafa Hassanali for bring the event to Nairobi and also for the efforts he has had. Also not forgetting this two guys who were really helpful to each and everyone for the smooth running of the event : Honesty Arroyal and Washington Benbella.

There you have it for the Swahili Fashion Week-Nairobi Showcase... The main fashion show will be held in Dar-es-salaam in December. Be on a look out for that one :)
